The Secret of a Long Life? Hard Work

Avoid stress, be optimistic, retire early, hit the gym and you’ll thrive, right? Nope. New research has discovered that a long career of hard work, not relaxation, is the key to a long and successful life.

Researchers Howard Friedman and Leslie Martin analyzed a 90-year study that tracked 1,528 Americans since 1928. The study was started by Lewis Therman, a psychologist at Stanford University, and has been carried on through the decades by other researchers.

The research found that those with stable, successful careers were less likely to die young than those who skipped from job to job without a clear career goal.

Kevin White Promoted to CEO of Aon Risk Solutions’ Construction Services Group

Aon Corporation , the leading global provider of risk management and human resource consulting and outsourcing, announced today that Kevin White, president and chief operating officer of Aon Risk Solutions’ Construction Services Group, has been promoted to the role of chief executive officer.   White assumed this role as of June 13th. He replaces Peter Arkley, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.   Additional members of the Construction Services Group leadership team, Bill Marino, Geoff Heekin and Henry Lombardi, remain in place and will continue to serve clients and colleagues in their current roles.   Read more…

Wyoming Car Insurance

Wyoming was originally inhabited by several different Native American tribes. They frequently traveled through there, returning during the warmer months. The land is a mix of plains, mountains, hills and bluffs. There are several natural springs and lakes in the mountains. It is also home to Yellowstone National Park. Originally the Oregon Trail went through part of the state. Wyoming officially received its name in 1865 and was named a United States territory in 1868. Settlers who came to Wyoming were ranchers. Unlike the neighboring states of Colorado and South Dakota, Wyoming was not a booming state for gold or other precious minerals. Today the land continues to be inhabited mostly by ranchers and some farmers.
